Original German WWI KIA Battle Damaged M1917 Helmet
Up for sale is a very nice and original German WWI M17, or Model 1917 Steel combat helmet that has rich history. Most interestingly this helmet has battle damage on the right facing side of the shell. This gives the helmet a great look – and perfect for displays!
Looking at the interior of the helmet, the original liner band is still present, and show areas of the original goat leather liner. The helmet skirt is also marked by the US service member who captured the piece. A very historic item!
