Original German WWII M35 Re-issued SD Heer Helmet
Up for sale is a very nice and original German WWII M35 SD Heer Re-Issued helmet. This helmet originally began life as likely a parade green DD Heer helmet used during the early stages of the war. After being re-issued towards the end of the war it was then painted a much darker green color and used significantly. Because of this helmets heavy use, it has a very nice combat look which looks great in displays.
The inside of the helmet is partially complete with a full liner band and the original felt, but no leather. It was very common for battle used pick ups to have the leather removed as generally they retained their smell. As the leather is removed from the liner band, we can further our theory that this was a combat used bringback. A really great helmet!
Batch Number : Unreadable
Manufacture : Marked with re-issued stamp showing size 56/57
