Up for sale is a very nice and original German WWII M42 Southern Front SD Camo Helmet.
Overall this is a really great 3 tone German camouflaged helmet. Under the paint you can see the outline of what is most likely a heer decal. The shell also features a tan base with bright green and brown disruptive oversprays.
The inside of the helmet shows a very battle worn leather liner and chinstrap. There is also medical tape residue on the rear brim of the helmet, which is characteristic of a US captured helmet.
Maker - Illedible, likely size 64.
