German WWII Transitional DD Heer Helmet

Sale Price:$1,000.00 Original Price:$1,150.00
Sold Out

Up for sale is a true combat veteran! This originally started life out as a German WWI helmet, and then re-issued to the German Wehrmacht in the late 1920s. After its transition it was repainted with an early bright green paint which can be seen throughout both the exterior and interior. After its repaint it was applied with both a Heer Decal and National Shield. Whats even more interesting about this helmet is the fact that the inside was retrofitted with the pre wartimeM1924 / M24 /M1929 style German liner. This also still retains the m16 style liner band with old WWI liner pins and the correct transitional chinstrap parts. This is a very interesting piece!

To note: Some areas of the inside liner have ripped with age. The condition of the leather is very good and not in fragile condition.
