Original German WWII Luftschutz Gladiator Helmet
Up for sale is a very nice and original German WWII Luftschutz Gladiator Helmet. This particular helmet is referred to as a 3 piece conversion, due to the 3 pieces that make up the helmet. These helmets would have been issued by the German Luftschutz for mostly civilian use. Most common uses of the helmets were for protection against air raids. Interestingly this helmet shows a lot of period use, and is dented on the left facing side.
The inside of the helmet still shows areas of the original leather liner. The leather is in average condition, although the front leather pad is missing. Interestingly there is a piece of tape on the front of the helmet where it was once likely named. The manufacture maker is :Vertrieb Genehmigt Gemass § 8 Luftschutzgesetz Kopfweite: 58
