Original German WWII M35 SD Luftwaffe Helmet
Up for sale is a very nice and original German WWII M35 SD Luftwaffe helmet. This helmet has a beautiful patina with a very strong and well aged Luftwaffe blue color. Surrounding the helmet we can see crisp details giving evidence of the combat history of this helmet. An example : On top of the helmet we can see circular rings which indicate this helmet was stacked sometime during or after the war. This is typical of a captured or a surrendered helmet.
The inside of the helmet shares another interesting history. The leather liner unfortunately has rotted away – although still shows areas of the original felt cushioning and liner band. Also the helmet appears to have been sold at one point through a store as there are remains of some pricing tag. This tag is very old, and can be removed – however we will leave this up to the new owner.
