Original German WWII Transitional Heer Helmet
Up for sale is a very nice and original German WWII Transitional helmet from WWI with no decal. This helmet had a very interesting life, starting out as a German WWI helmet, and then being re-issued during the Third Reich for use during WWII. The outside of the helmet has been re-issued with a German Field Grey, or Feldgrau finish. Interestingly the helmet was not fitted with decals and possibly used late war.
The inside of the helmet was fitted with a WWII period leather liner and chinstrap. The leather liner is in used condition and appears to have some staining towards the brim. Unfortunately with age, the leather liner is starting to crack and tear.
Batch Number : Unreadable
Manufacture : G. 62
