Original German WWII Re-issued Heer M40 SD Helmet – Attic Find
Up for sale is a very honest M40 Single Decal Heer helmet. This helmet was found in St Petersburg Florida, in the attic of a Civil War collector. It subsequently is in a very natural condition for its environment, and still shows us a great example of a reissued Heer helmet. Notice around the decals we can see signs of a second Heer decal. All 3 liner pins are present, holding the liner band, and only missing the liner. Given the condition of the shell we can assume the liner was ripped out purposely, and likely a KIA helmet or a heavily used bringback. This is very common for blood soaked or soiled liners.
