Original German WWII M35 SD Heer Helmet
Up for sale is a very nice and original German WWII M35 SD Heer helmet. This helmet has a beautiful dark green finish with an even nicer Heer Decal. The Heer decal is roughly 85% complete with areas of a lacquered coating. The surrounding shell shows definite signs of period use with scratches that give the helmet a true combat look.
The inside of the helmet is partially complete with the original leather liner, drawstring and chinstrap. The leather liner is in average condition as parts of the leather fingers ripped due to age. With this, we can still see pieces of leather still attached to the drawstring that once was tied together. Other areas of the liner are interestingly darkened due to period use and sweat stains from when this helmet was issued. As for the chinstrap, unfortunately one half is missing, and the area which is still attached has been cut or ripped.
