Original German WWII M35 Winter Camo DD Heer Helmet
Up for sale a very nice and original German WWII Winter Camouflaged helmet, sometimes referred to as a whitewashed camo. This helmet underneath its camouflage is a large sized M35 DD Heer helmet which likely saw combat use. The shell has a great patina with a very natural and consistent wear to the white camouflage. Both decals can be noted even under the paint. Especially nice is the cracking of the paint over the national shield decal.
Looking at the inside of the helmet, the leather liner is complete and still in great condition. We have not touched the liner, but it could be cleaned with care. Luckily areas of sweat stains are still shown from its use during the war. The front liner brim has one tear across the top. Moving towards the rear skirt, we can see that the shell is nicely named to :
Weppner
Manufacture : SE 66
Batch Number: 3346
