Original German WWII M42 Whitewashed Luftwaffe Helmet
Up for sale is a very nice and original German WWII single decal Luftwaffe M42 helmet – with an applied whitewashed camouflage overpaint. The shell remains in great shape, with strong colors and honest wear. The whitewash paint would have been applied during the winter months of the war for added camouflage, and removed shortly after. This is a great example of a winter used Luftwaffe helmet!
The inside shell is a matching condition to the exterior with a complete liner and chinstrap! The leather liner still is in very good condition with some signs of use and sweat stains from WWII. The leather chinstrap is complete, and in matching condition to the helmet.
