Original US WWII German Souvenir Bringback Grouping
Part of our personal collection is a very interesting lot of items captured during the American liberation of Europe. These items were all captured by **** Mickelson. Before the war Mickelson was not religious, but made a promised to his mother, that if he survived, he would find god. Being 1 of 6 in his outfit to survive the war, we were told these religious artifacts were pieces Mickelson captured to give hope for his survival.
We see numerous religious pendants presumably taken from fallen soldiers. Some even inscribed ” Souvenir from France” or “Mike 1944 From Stella”. Also in the lot is a enlisted Panzer Breast Eagle that was cut from a German Uniform.
