Original German WWII Luftwaffe Winter Cap Eagle Cut Off
Up for sale is a very nice and original, German WWII Luftwaffe winter cap eagle that was cut from a German pelzmütze, or leather and fur winter cap. Attached also is the original manufacture tag dated 1942 which has been stapled to the cut off by its original owner. These items are often referred to as cut off insignias, or cap removed eagles. This type of insignia is indicative of US war trophies from WWII. Often they were brought back off of German’s that were killed in fighting – and are very hard to find with areas of the original cap remaining.
